There are a number of different shower designs that we can choose from – but sometimes our bathrooms are so unusual or we are so picky that we want something that is unique and just a bit hard to make. If you can’t find a design that you like than the next best thing to do is to create a custom shower design.
Size
The first thing you need to think about is what type of shape and size it should be. When you know what shape it should have you will be able to know where in the bathroom it should be placed. Measure the area of the bathroom that you want it to be placed and go from there. Once you know how much space that you have you will be able to determine how large it can be and what type of features it can be made with.
Doors
Most people will use shower curtains in the opening of the shower. If you want something more unique and modern than you need to design a door that will work for what you want. The size of the door that you install will be dependent on how many walls are surrounding it and how strong these walls are. You want to go through a specialty glass store to make sure that it is cut properly.
Features
Think about what your shower is missing right now and what type of features you want to use. You can replace the bathtub completely and install a wide shower with a showerhead at each end for couple showers. One of the most luxurious and expensive features to have is a steam shower. This requires special fixtures and a seat that will allow you to sit down for a few minutes and enjoy the comforts that the steam has to offer.
Materials
The materials that you use will help to create a classic or modern shower. The most common to use is tile. This material is easy to clean and to install. It is often used along the ceiling, walls, and floor. For a more modern design you will want to use glass – which can be frosted or tinted. This material is used on the sides of the shower that are not set against the wall. It is used along with tile.
